Hey all! I’m back with another 5 Friday favorites post for the month of March! I know this month has been crazy, uncertain, and confusing for so many of us, and my heart and prayers go out to everyone who has been affected! Those who are healthcare workers, those who have lost their job, grocery store workers, first responders, those on the front line, and anyone else who is risking their own health to help others. Your hard work and dedication do not go unnoticed! 💛
To get my mind – and your mind – off of what is currently going on, I decided to still do this favorites post for the month of March. Although this month has been pretty shocking and difficult, there are still a few things I wanted to share with you in hopes you might enjoy these items too! So with that, here are my 5 Friday favorites for March!
This humidifier has worked wonders for my allergies this time of year! Plus, I love the size of this particular humidifier as well. I can take it from room to room, whether I’m watching a movie in the living room or about to fall asleep, I’m able to keep the humidifier close whenever and if ever I need it. I typically keep it on my bedside table and leave it on as I’m sleeping.
2. Oat milk creamer
I made sure to stock up on my all-time favorite coffee creamer, Silk Oat Yeah Oatmilk Creamer, while we’re at home and practicing social distancing! It has honestly become my go-to coffee creamer for hot and iced coffee all throughout the month of March!
3. New favorite smoothie recipe
I never used to be a smoothie fan, until the beginning of this month. I was on the hunt for a tasty, protein-packed, easy-to-make drink that I could easily grab and go after a workout. After I couldn’t really find a recipe that I loved (I’m super picky lol!), I decided to make my own! Cookie dough flavored to be exact! This recipe is incredibly easy to make and tastes delicious! Especially after a sweaty workout. Plus, only 5 ingredients make up this recipe!
Cookie Dough Milkshake Protein Smoothie:
- 80 grams of chopped banana
- 1 scoop (30 grams) of vanilla protein powder (I always use this one!)
- 2 scoops of collagen protein (optional – but it’s such an easy way to get in an extra 20 grams of protein + other health benefits!)
- 1/2 cup of unsweetened cashew milk
- Mini chocolate chips or cacao nibs
- A handful of ice!
Optional: I have also added almond butter to this recipe as well if I need extra grams of fat!
Add all of the ingredients together in a blender and blend away. It’s so simple and delicious! In fact, I think I’ve had this smoothie every single day the past 3 weeks haha!
4. Body wash
I recently purchased the Mario Badescu AHA Botanical Body Wash and it has worked wonders for my skin! Not only the texture of my skin but the overall appearance as well. Plus, it has a very light, floral, sweet scent – almost like grapefruit – so it’s not overpowering at all. I also love that it chemically exfoliates dead skin cells without leaving my skin irritated or overly dry. As you can see in the picture, I’m running low and I’ll definitely be repurchasing soon!
Journaling has become a major stress reliever for me during this difficult time that we are all going through. I don’t have a set way of journaling, basically, I write down anything that I am feeling or any thoughts that come to mind. Good or bad. I typically do this in the evening and use that time to braindump and write down anything that comes to mind. Whether it’s about current events in the news or simply what I’m personally going through mentally each day. This is a scary and anxious time for many of us, and journaling has certainly helped a ton!
