Happy Friday! I feel like this week flew by so fast! Does it feel the same way for you? Also, this post was supposed to be published last Friday, haha, but I had an even more exciting post that came out instead! So definitely go check out that post next! Nonetheless, here are my 5 Friday favorites for July! I would love to hear about what you’ve been loving as well!
1. Snakeskin wedges
I have been wearing these Daylen Espadrille Snakeskin Wedge Sandals from DSW almost every day during the month of July! Not only are they beautiful and perfect for summer, but they are very comfortable as well and can be dressed up or down. Plus, they are currently on sale! I do recommend sizing up about half a size though!
2. Tanning drops
Along with my all-time favorite moisturizer from Is Clinical, I have been using roughly 3-6 drops of the Isle of Paradise tanning drops in the color medium about 3 times a week right before I go to bed. Simply adding just a few drops to my moisturizer and applying it all over my face and neck does the trick perfectly! I have yet to apply any drops to my body, however, it’s perfectly fine to apply all over your face and body if that’s what you desire.
In addition, I would start with just one or two drops applied to your face and neck, if you are a beginner, just to see how it looks. Then, you can easily apply more if needed! All in all, it blends in very well and gives a beautiful, subtle glow without looking fake. I am excited to continue using these tanning drops into the fall months as my natural tan begins to fade!
3. Trader Joe’s
Trader Joe’s has been one of my favorite places to shop for groceries for years! However, now that I have recently been eating gluten-free and dairy-free, I’ve been turning to Trader Joe’s more frequently because of all of there healthy and budget-friendly foods that cater to my current diet.
Each time I go to Trader Joe’s I always make sure to stock up on all of my favorites such as cauliflower gnocchi, gluten-free bread/bagels, almond butter, gluten-free waffles, almond milk, and the green goddess salad dressing. Plus, much more! Trader Joe’s is the broke, college student’s dream come true when shopping for groceries, haha!
4. Banana oat pancake recipe
Speaking of gluten-free and dairy-free foods, this banana and oatmeal pancake recipe has been my go-to breakfast for July! This recipe is originally from ChocolateCoveredKatie.com, however, I did add a few other ingredients to the mix. Therefore, here is my spin on her recipe:
- 1/2 cup of rolled oats
- 1 medium mashed banana (approx. 90-100 grams)
- 4 tbsp. of unsweetened almond or dairy-free milk of choice
- 1/4 cup of almond flour
- 1/2 tsp. of baking powder
- 1 tbsp. of dairy-free chocolate chips (I use this brand)
- Pinch of salt and cinnamon (optional)
They are absolutely delicious and full of fiber, complex carbohydrates, and healthy fats from the almond flour!
