Hey everyone! Today I wanted to share with you five things I have been loving lately! I have been wanting to share a “Friday Favorites” series for a while now, so I’m excited to share my 5 Friday favorites for September! For this series, I will be sharing five things I have been loving for the month, and posting them every last Friday of each month! š
1. Vanilla & cinnamon oat milk lattes
These have been my obsession for basically all of September! The first time I tried an oat milk latte was at my local coffee shop. However, I’ve noticed that many cafĆ©s have been adding oat milk to their menus recently. Which is awesome! I was skeptical at first, but I now, think it may be a close second to my favorite dairy-free milk substitute, cashew milk. It is so creamy and delicious and is definitely easier to froth for a latte compared to unsweetened almond or cashew milk. I’m so excited to start making these at home as well, and when I do I will absolutely post my recipe as soon as possible!
2. Care/of supplementsĀ
I was never really the best at taking supplements in the past. However, this month I made it my goal to take a pack of vitamins and supplements every. single. day! And I can’t believe the vast difference just from August to September alone! My energy has increased, my sleeping habits have improved, and my overall stress levels have definitely decreased as well! But, I’ll be honest, now that it is officially the fall season, that could be the reason why my stress levels have gone down haha. I mean, who doesn’t love fall?!
Now that it’s getting colder, this is the perfect time to dial in your supplement regime, to promote health and wellness, and to boost your body’s immunity! That’s why I have been absolutely loving my Care/of vitamins extra hard this month! Not to mention, they’re completely personalized for you and your health goals, and their adorable packaging makes them even better!
You can read my full review of Care/of vitamins and why I love them so much right here! And don’t forget to take the quiz to find out which vitamins will work best for you and your health goals this fall!
3. Living Proof “Perfect Hair Day”Ā
I’ll be honest with you all, this product has been a favorite of mine for the past TWO years! I have naturally wavy hair that can often times get frizzy in the hot/humid weather. And if you are from Michigan, then you already know how humid it can get and how lame our falls have been in the past couple of years! Many days, even in September and early October, we still have humid weather. This is why I have been lovingĀ Living Proof’s “Perfect Hair Day Styling Treatment”Ā for sooooo long!
I decided to include my favorite hair-care hack into this month’s favorites’ post because if you suffer from frizzy hair or humid temperatures, then this will be a life-saver for you as well! Along with that, I have been really trying to limit the use of heat on my hair each week to keep my hair healthy and from looking dull. I love my natural hair and I rarely ever use heat on it in the summer. So, I figured this fall, why not carry my summertime habit into the cooler months?
4. Podcasts
I have been obsessed with podcasts for a while now, but I used to only save them for long road trips or vacations. However, lately, I’ve been listening to podcasts more in the car on the way to work, school, or to see my boyfriend at Michigan State University which is about 2 hours away from my house. This gives me the perfect amount of time to listen to one or two of the various podcasts I’ve been binging on! A few of my recent favs have been For The Girl, Goal Digger, and Mile Higher!
P.S. For an extra favorite of mine this month, I just recently bought this Rose Gold Phone Holder from Amazon! And I love it! I use it every single time I’m working, Facetiming, or watching Youtube videos!
5. Coffee + breakfast nook
We recently re-did our kitchen and decided to get rid of our big, square, high top kitchen table and replace it with our own little coffee + breakfast nook! I absolutely love the way it turned out and how it ties the entire space together. All while bringing a very comfy and cozy vibe to our kitchen. Even though the set up isn’t a traditional “nook,” I still consider it one! Maybe because of the adorable couch and simple chairs that can be accessorized with pillows and blankets to match your space. It really sets the overall tone for the room and has created the perfect spot to enjoy our coffee in the morning, have brunch with a friend, or do work. In my case, I’ve also turned this cute space into a little blogging nook!
