While an evening, healthy skincare is essential and all the rage right now, I thought it would be a great time to discuss why it’s so important to have an evening hair care routine as well! During this quarantine and stay-at-home order, I have been trying my hardest each to spend more time on my skin and hair. Which got me thinking, not many people talk about how important a healthy hair care routine actually is! Sure, skincare is very important, but what about your hair? With that, here is why it’s so important to have an evening hair care routine and why you shouldn’t be neglecting your hair health! Plus, some of the ways that establishing a nighttime hair care routine will help you achieve hair that is as gorgeous as you!
1. Add in a deep conditioning treatment
One of the best ways to repair damage and tame frizziness is by utilizing an overnight conditioning treatment once or twice a week. Additionally, you can also dab your favorite oil to your ends to moisturize. Applying heavier hair treatments overnight and allowing them to stay in until the next morning allows your hair to absorb the product more efficiently! Then, I like to simply wash it out in the morning (it only takes about 2 minutes!) and then continuing my morning routine. Plus, I love that I don’t have to go to work or go about my day with greasy-looking hair!

2. Prepare for the next morning
Similar to what I mentioned above, to save time on your morning shower, opt to shower at night instead, and apply reparative products to your hair before bed. For bonus points, wrap up your hair with a turban or silk scrunchie (more on those later!) or you can even braid your hair before bed. I love doing this to ensure instant waves and texture in the morning. It definitely makes my morning routine go by even faster, plus my hair is styled without putting any heat on it. Win-win!

3. Promote health and growth
Scalp treatments are some of my favorite (and easiest) ways to promote healthy hair, strength, and growth! Plus, these following products mentioned below are perfect for those with oily, dry, or combination hair! I truly believe that the foundation of healthy, strong hair starts at the scalp. 4. Avoid breakage overnight
Last but not least! Investing in a high-quality pillowcase, and other hair care essentials, specifically designed for your hair will prevent breakage that rough fibers in regular pillowcases and hair ties can cause. Invest in a silk case and rest knowing you’re doing to most while simultaneously doing the least. As well as these other two essentials!
