Hey there, my friend! I wanted to share with you today 3 simple healthy eating tips that can improve your life as soon as today! Not to mention, make your life a WHOLE LOT easier! Healthy eating can feel daunting and stressful, especially if you’re not so great at cooking. Or even if you simply don’t have a lot of time to spend whipping up something healthy for every meal. This is why I want to share some of my favorite kitchen gadgets, tips, and tricks for healthy eating, and to make healthy eating simple and more convenient! Because girl, you don’t have to feel overwhelmed!
Let’s jump into these tips!
1. Meal Prep!
Here are the main things I consistently like to meal prep: dinner in a crockpot, overnight oats (12 delicious overnight oat recipes right here!), hardboiled eggs, veggies, and chopped fruit. And lately, I’ve also been meal prepping ground turkey – which I use to make turkey tacos, and grilled chicken. I love using my indoor Ninja Foodi Grill to grill chicken and roast miniature potatoes! 😋
Along with that, dinner in the crockpot is so fast and easy as well! I love to make chili, soup, shredded chicken – you name it! Plus, it only takes me about 10 minutes to prep all of my ingredients in the morning to ensure a ready and mess-free dinner that evening. Talk about fast, easy, and healthy! The crockpot is the ultimate way to go when seeking convenience – especially on your busy on-the-go workdays!
Hardboiled eggs are super easy as well! I just simply bring the water to a boil and add a little bit of baking soda to help the eggs peel easier. Then, I boil them for about 12 minutes, remove them, and quickly place them in a bowl of ice water to cool. Along with that, chopping veggies is super simple as well! Here’s an awesome tip: you can store them in a water-filled mason jar in your fridge to help them stay fresh and crisp.
With that, having fresh fruit on hand creates such a simple and healthy snack because it takes little to no time at all to peel an orange, banana, or grab an apple. SO easy!!

2. Chop Your Kitchen Time In Half!
How many times have you just felt way too tired to cook? Let alone something healthy! Perhaps mostly because it takes too much time! I know the struggle of simply choosing to go out to eat or ordering through some food delivery service instead of cooking because you’re too tired to deal with the hassle of making dinner AND cleaning up afterward.
However, I find that having a few simple kitchen gadgets can save TONS of time! Plus, they’re not too expensive and you’ll have them for years. The first one is this veggie chopper. I chop carrots, sweet potato, broccoli, onion, celery, etc. Anything that takes time to chop – I use this! It’s a massive time saver and it doesn’t take long for me to chop up a ton of veggies and whip up a simple healthy stir fry for dinner. Or, have enough veggies to store in meal prep containers for the remainder of the week!
Another tool I swear by is this spiralizer! It makes it so easy to whip up some zucchini noodles or sweet potato noodles for dinner with a veggie salad on the side! Quick, simple, and so healthy!
Another thing I like to do is make smoothies for breakfast because it saves SO MUCH time! Over the years I used numerous basic blenders, such as the Nutribullet and Ninja Blender. However, recently I’ve upgraded to a Vitamix and I couldn’t be happier with my purchase! Making smoothies, homemade pasta sauce with a few basic ingredients, soups, açaí bowls, and different kinds of nut butter, has allowed healthy eating to become a breeze and save tons of time! I’ve even whipped up different kinds of desserts in my Vitamix as well!
3. Shop Smart & Save Time
Another thing that can be very time consuming is grocery shopping. What I tend to do is leave a magnetic notepad on my fridge so that whenever I run out of anything I simply jot it down right when I realize we’ve run out of that item. This way, when I get to the store I never forget anything or risk overspending on things that I don’t specifically need. For example, when I run out of bananas, I immediately write it down. When we run out of almond milk, I instantly write it down. Anytime we run out of anything I write it on the magnetic notepad and it becomes a running list with everything that we need from the grocery store.
Plus, having a notepad in the store (or picture on your phone of the list) is a HUGE lifesaver because I have everything that I need right in front of me and I’m able to knock it out 15 minutes! This makes shopping way more efficient!
